In the next few days [week?] AIT [our web ISP] is going to be moving all of our data to a new server. In the process, we will be updating all of the underlying system software to their most recent versions. This is all in an attempt to make sure we have a stable environment for all of our website needs.
AIT will be making a backup of all the files currently on the system, and hopefully this backup will be made scant hours before the transition. But in any case, as a precaution, I am asking everyone who maintains a Chapter website hosted on the BTW server, to make sure you have a copy of EVERYTHING you have uploaded to create you site. This includes HTML pages as well as photographs.
Hopefully this will only be a precaution, and you won`t need to reload your sites, but just in case.
At this time I do not know precisely WHEN this will be scheduled to happen, Jim and I are still negotiating with AIT for all the specifics. But I wanted to give a heads up.

If anyone needs any help backing up their files, get in touch with me. There shouldn`t be a problem but there shouldn`t have been a problem to start with. Many times I have thought "Damn, I should have backed that up" just before the server went down or the power went off. Better safe than sorry.
