Where to start, 6 years ago my BEST friend, Jimmy Eason talked me into going to a place called Timberville Va. I had never heard of it, but he said there would be a Trike In there, so we packed up, loaded up and went there. I had one of the best times of my life there! The next year we went again, it moved to Harrisonburg, differant place but ANOTHER great time. The 3rd year, I lost Jimmy to cancer and i'll tell you, if it had'nt been for my Triker family, I dont know if I would have made it through Jimmy's death. Jimmy, Matt, Eddie, Unk and I worked  on trikes in Jimmy's garage. Unk started calling it J&V trikes and brought a home made sign " J&V Trike Shop". We all laughed but hung it on the wall anyway. Just before Jimmy died, I promiced him as long as I lived there would ALWAYS be a J&V Trike Shop. I built a garage and the shop was born. Since then, I have become the Chapter Director, and now your State Director. SVTI gave me 6 WONDERFUL years and IT'S NOT OVER! There may not be a Trike in, but there will be visits. Until I see you again, God bless you, be careful and ride safe. My friend Jimmy is looking down, watching over ya and he's got your back!

Where do you begin.... 6yrs ago a idea was born.. Va would host its first Trike In.. It was a great success.. Each year we grew meeting lots of new friends and seeing old friends from past.. Sadly as we grew lives changed alot... Our group sadly got smaller, life got crazier and peoples health and priorties changed... This weekend was the end of the SVTI and it was a happy yet sad time. Our trike in this year Was AWESOME... very laid back more like a family reunion.. how amazin is that.. people laughing , talking , working on trikes, and greeeting family as they came in. Campin for some hotels for others travling back n forth for those close by.. We are FAMILY... Amazing how you feel so close to someone you don't see but once or twice a year.... Amazing how you think someone is so quiet n not sure they would fit in yet you find out they become part of your family and how much your life needs them. Amazing how you think someone can get such a GrumpyBear the first time you meet them yet you find out actually he's the biggest gentle bear there is. Amazing how you think your life is so much more having these people in your life and you think about them often... This weekend was GRAND yet SAD ...Holding back tears to show laughter, smilng when really all you wanna do is grab your family n pull them in for the biggest group hugg you could ever have. Tonite as we parted ways and headed in seperate directions, some close some near some far.. I sit and I think about those people that I call family.. Today wasn't the end today was just the beginning.. A beginning to a new chapter of life.. Praying for each of them safe travel home, prayin that the ones that couldn't make it this year will know they were in our thoughts this weekend n sadly missed.. Tonite as I think about my expanded family I realize something.. These people walked into my life for a reason , they've made life greater then it could ever be without them... Bubby and I are so blessed to know n love each and every one of them and we hope no wait.. we know that one day again soon we'll cross paths again. You never know there maybe a SVFR.. Shenandoah Valley Family Reunion of Trikers..lol wouldn't that be grand. Thank you to all that have gave those special huggs n shared some laughs n tears.. My heart will cherish each and everyone of you.. for those that couldn't make it this year.. you were missed n thought about.. for those that were there.. Thank you and we love you..

Rob n T.. what can I say.. there are no words that say thank you enough for everything you have done.. Truely you are the Shining Stars like Jim Said today.. you've made the last several years an adventure..lol to say the least I know there's many more adventures coming our way and Bubby an I can't wait.. hope you got the chips n lawn chairs ready...lol

Thank you BTW family for the experiance .. hope to ride thru life some more with all of you. momma_wolf03@yahoo.com  just call out my name and you know where ever I am .. I'll come running to see you again.

Hugggggggggs

Amy aka momma SQUIRREL...and BUBBY
We love ya'll

thanks everyone for the hospitality. Sorry I had to leave when I did. Work ALWAYS seem's to get in the way of having a good time. I hope to make it down to the ECTI this year and maybe with a trike (thanks to vic's suggestions) I may have it on the road by then.

This weekend was the sad end of an wonderful era in our lives. THE LAST SHENNANDOAH VALLEY TRIKE IN. Many friendships were born and nurtured at this event. And I hope each and everyone of them will continue to grow.

Many, many thanx to "T", Rob, Amy, Bubby , Burton and Liz for all the hard work and time they have put into this event. We never take the time tp properly thank these folks. But I think they know in their hearts how much we appreciate them.

Hopefully everyone will make it home safely. And looking fprward to seeing y'all in Mt. Airy, NC for the ECTI Labor Day weekend.

Later, Bill(aka:easyrider)

There is no way no how we could ever say Goodbye to any of our Triker family.. As hard as this is we still love n care about each of you.. When Rob n T stepped down I'll be the first to say.. They were the true meaning of Triker Family.. T has gone above and beyond the duty with everything she has done and I can't thank her enough.. She started out as the quiet lady we didn't think she would fit in .. Then I found out not only was she NOT Quiet but seemed to know somebody wherever we went... She was always full of laughter n sillyness n always a warm heart n soul. She has become a true sister for life. Rob you have a amazing wife , friend n partner ... Rob has gave everything he could to try n get this chapter n trike in off the ground and he's done an excellant job.. just seems right now Everyone in our chapter is having osme kinda health issues.. Bubby and I will always have a open door for all of you and a warm plate of food or a place to lay your head if ya need too.. HOpefully we can all do some riding and meet up on the road.. We would love to come see the coastal crew again we enjoyed that day so much and we hope we can stay longer this time.. Ya never know when we may pop up.. Our GPS needs addresses..lol

Brucie you were one of the first people we met when we came to btw and I hugged you that day and I'll hug you again this weekend.. Your doing a excellant job as Regional Director keep it up

Vic my Grumpy Bear.. what can I say but you are a very special person in my heart and you've always made me smile.. Even if Bill was giving you  grief..lol I'll miss the trike in's that's for sure.. but I hope to see ya'll more often

Thank you for all the support you've given me thru the years and all the love you've shown. All of you have made our Trike In's so special.. each and every time.. So here's to the 2011 SVTI to many laughs. Huggs n much love..

Huggggggs n love to all

Amy n Bubby

Hope not....I have only been involved in triking but a couple of years. on my third trike and still struggling to even get one on the road. finally got one from ray henry(rednecktrikes) that I like, just need to get a title for it ( and wheels)oh yeah, a throttle cable, and I will be on the road. I was looking forward to going to the trike in at harrisonburg and seeing everyone, meeting up for a ride once and a while. maybe that will still be possible. I guess we can only wait and see. being on the wrong end of Route 42 makes it hard to get up to that area. for the last year I have been on 24/7 call and can not be more than an hour from work at anytime.

ordered a frame neck today for the V8 trike so that project is ongoing.

K.D as far as I know now, no it isn't the end of the chapter. But I guess that will be up to the members at the meeting after the trike-in. Vic, I am glad you have had a good time and I will not say goodbye to you or anyone else, I fully intend on seeing you guys. Heck now that Bruce made me an honorary coastal member I might just show up there one of these days!! If you think ya'll can get rid of me that easy you are mistaken!!  See ya soon. I'm excited!!  Not sure if I'll have my coconut bra for the luau, but I will get lei'd. LOL!!  biggrin

I have met MANY new friends since I became a Triker and I for 1 dont intend on not seeing them from time to time. I have talked to other members from time to time about the same thing  youre talking about Miss T, just picking a spot and meeting up for a weekend to hang out. As I have said before, most of us just dont know how much hard work goes into putting on such an event as a Trike In. The "thanks" are few & those putting it on dont get the full enjoyment of it because while we are all having fun, ya'll are working it. I was there in Timberville at the 1st SVTI and if the 2011 is the last, I will be there to help put it to rest, but it WONT be the last of our friendship. Once again I thank you ALL in the SV group for giving me so many good times, for the people I have met, (even Bill) and ALL the huggs!................Nuff Said

Come one come all!!  Can't wait to see everyone. a bit of sad news to add to the joy we are expecting. It seems this will be a end of an era. Sadly this seems to be the last SVTI. At our last meeting Rob and I both told the chapter that due to too many obligatons and other personal issues this will be the last time we can do the SVTI.  It seems that no one else from our chapter will be able to take on the challenge at this time. So as far as I know sitting here today. This 2011, our 6th SVTI will indeed be the last.  This sadens me greatly and I so much wish it would continue on for many years to come. But as they say, "all good things must come to an end". And it has been GREAT!!. I have always had such a great time visiting with everyone. Thats something I look forward to each year. In hopes that there will be a renewed interest in the trike-in, I hope to see ya there. Until then I guess we all better go to the ECTI so we can meet up with all our old friends & BTW family. This has not been an easy decision but one who's time has come. At the very least if anyone wants to we could always get together and just hang out and do a camping, no frills, no plans weekend. The fairgrounds is almost always available for that. So lets not let this be our final goodbye. Lets find a new way to keep in touch, until then, keep your knees in the breeze and do it on 3's!!  Happy triking.

Now that things have semi calmed down here..lol I'm ready for the trike in and so is Bubby.. We still have to live day by day because of his mom and the lung cancer but we are gonna be at the trike in.. My hug tank is low and I surely need some triker hugggs.

Our oldest daughter Lisa joined our chapter a few months ago and has taken over my trike.. She's very excited about her and her daughter Naomi being part of the SVTI. Naomi is our lil special angel.. She has CP and seizure disorders n she is now wearing braces on her legs.. she's really excited about seeing all the trikes n gettin to ride..lol she's a true biker baby.

Hope everybody has a safe trip home to see us.. I know the welcome mat is out again.. Bubby and I are campin with Rob n T so hope to see ya'll there..

Huggggggggs n much luv

ya'll keep it safe on 3

and ya'll try to behave.. Vic n Bill I know how you 2 can be..lol
