Gonna miss Jamestown - heading up to Carlisle and then WV this weekend. There's a ride next weekend as well.
Bruce - is the Virginia Ride still going on August 9th weekend? What's the deal with that? If it's still for that weekend - I'll have to pick up the ride when you roll through Fredericksburg. Or are you guys coming up further north? Details baby - details!!!!!
Not sure about ECTI yet. That's going to be about over a 9 hour ride for me and I don't have a truck and trailer. I may not go. I have to see what's going on with work first and all that because I would need to take time off - before/after. And I don't get paid when I take any days off.
Then it's Delmarva.
Was thinking about Myrtle, but 2 back-to-back home games that weekend. Myrtle has to wait.
Then - hockey season begins with the first preseason home game on 9/24. "Color me gone" til the season ends. Remember - if the game is at home - I'm there, if it's on TV - don't call me. LOL!!!! So Bruce - plan the Fall ride at Skyline around the hockey game. The 18th will work for me - just as long as I'm back in the hotel room by 7:00 in time for the face-off. The 11th is the first home game of the season against the Blackhawks - and I need to be there to watch the Caps put them away (those who follow hockey will know we need to kick Huet's behind!!) The 25th works - same thing - back at the hotel by 8 for the face-off. Yeah I know - picky, picky, picky!
Then, I'm hibernating - just me, my "boys", the tv and remote control, and my motorcycle/car catalogs.
Can't wait to do it again.. Hopefully this time we can ride with ya'll.. The rates for Trike is $8.00 of ya can get a year pass for $30.00 it's been a long time since we were up there.. ya kinda forget what ya got right in your own back yard.. It is so pretty up there n so relaxing.. We could almost pin point our house from up there..lol loved it..lol Can't wait to see ya'll again we miss ya big time HOpe you got your trike back up n going..

sounds like a great time and yes amy, we )coastal) learned about those temperature drops the hard way last october, had my tee shirt on when left harrisonburg, think we were all freezing on the skyline drive, but we'll probably do it again!
For those of us that can't see past end of nose without glasses....here is what Sissy posted with bigger writing.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! What a ride today...lol it was fantastic.. We pulled outta our drive about 6am n Ginny n Thumpy did the same from Manassas.. we all met for breakfast then headed to Culpepper then to Madison cut the back way to Standersville.. lol by this time it as like 10am..lol Well low n behold.. a DAIRY QUEEN appeared.. and we all know what happens when there's a Dairy Queen..lol GIRL SCOUT THIN MINT.. BLIZZARD ATTACK..LOL Of coures the guys thought Ginny and I were crazy.. that's why they kept tryin to sneak bites ..lol.. However we had some great laughs.. even rode a hobby horse, ya had to be there to see that one.. I plead the 5th...llol
From there we headed up the mountain n caught Skyline Drive.. as hot as it got down in the Valley today we probably coulda worn a jacket up on the Drive.. it was great with No HUMIDITY.. We took our time met lots n lots of bikes n even made a few friends from Michigan.. People were more amused with our trikes the old car show that was goin on..lol We rolled off the Drive about 2:30 this afternoon.. and I can't wait to go back Hope the next time some more of you can make it..

Well, I was going to go, but can't and it's gonna be too hot for me. Long week and was gone for 2 weekends straight - my mom's fussing about the house, groceries and all that I've neglected. And I'm gone next weekend, then there's the Virginia ride and a few others over the weekends, Delmarva and then it's HOCKEY SEASON!!!
Which only means one thing - if the game is at home - I'm at the game. If the game is away - don't call me cause I'm watching the game. In other words starting in September - I'll appear again to the world in April. But, if we go to the playoffs again - I'll appear in June - just in time for riding season again! HA!
Yes - hockey season is that long, but that's how it is when you're a fan of the best and ONLY REAL SPORT!!!!
